Seminar Abstract (AbVMA-approved for 2 hours CE Credit):

Dr. Kerr will provide a personal perspective on veterinary cytology, based on more than 25 years of practice in the field of Veterinary Clinical pathology. She will share ‘hints and hacks’ to optimize preparations of blood smears, urine and cytologic samples of fluid effusions and solid masses. The diagnostician-practitioner dynamic that is so integral to minimizing the diagnostic ambiguity that is inherent in veterinary cytology will be stressed. Clinical case material submitted to the PDS Clinical Pathology Laboratory and audience participation in the form of Q & A will be used to augment the presentation.
