EASAV welcomed a new volunteer director to it's team at the AGM: Dr. Natasha Russell. Natasha previously worked at VetEmerg and has recently taken a position at the Delton Veterinary Hospital. Welcome aboard Natasha!
Thank you to all EASAV members who took the time to come to the Annual General Meeting this year. Your participation in the association is crucial to the continuation of EASAV and your dedication in attending is appreciated by the Executive who work very hard to continue to bring relevant CE and social events to you all!

EASAV has many CE and social events planned for members of the veterinary community this spring.
As requested repeatedly by seminar attendants, we are hosting more wet-labs this year. The Soft Tissue Wet-lab is already fully registered but we still have lots of space in the Acupuncture Short Course! Although this course will not lead to certification, it will give veterinarians the confidence to begin doing basic acupuncture to treat common musculoskeletal conditions and spinal pain.
RVTs are invited to attend the lecture portion of this wet-lab where they will learn valuable information they can use to educate clients about this form of alternative health care.

This year's Annual Teddy Bear Hospital
at Dreamnight at the Zoo
is Friday, June 3, 2016.
Once again, we are encouraging you and your clinics to collect donations
of all sizes of stuffed animals to give to the Stollery children who attend this
fun event at the zoo. Because so many of the children who come
to this event are immunocompromised,
all stuffed animal donations must be NEW.
We are once again looking for volunteers to make more surgery stuffies
and work at the event itself. We recommend that any who wish to volunteer,
plan to attend the entire shift from 6-10 pm.
