  Message from The Executive Assistant

The new year is here and with that the arrival of EASAV's new website! As expected, there have been some delays with the development of the new website; I appreciate your patience in waiting for the new website and all of the online payment systems you have grown accustomed to using.

To login to the new website, use your first name initial and full last name, with no spaces and in lower case letters (i.e.: jdoe). Your password is the same as the one you had on the old website. If you have forgotten your password, please click on the "recover password" message under the login box. Your password will be emailed to you. If your email address has changed, please email me to let me know and I will update it so you can retrieve your password.

The website has new features, including a forum discussion board for private member use as well as a clinic, service and member directory. Once you have logged in for the first time, please go to the account tab and scroll down to "profile" and update your profile information, including the clinic(s) you work at. To have your name appear on a clinic directory, click on the account tab across the top bar, scroll down to "profile" and under "Clinics I Work At", select your clinic from the list. You should update this anytime you change places of employment as clients will be able to search your name from our directory as well.

If your clinic is not listed in the directory, please follow the prompts to add your clinic; under the clinic directory beside the map on the main page. This link only appears once you have logged in. Don't forget to edit your profile to include the clinics you work at after you have added your vet clinic. To keep your membership rates lower, the EASAV Executive is asking members to administer their own listing on the website.

Clinic Service Directory: You are only allowed to select clinic services when you enter your clinic for the first time. If your cliniic is already on the site and you would like to add or remove services to/from the clinic directory, please email me and let me know which ones to remove/add.

As this website has been newly created, I expect there to be some kinks to work out in the system and I appreciate your patience as we work through them together. Please let me know of any problems you have on our website or suggestions for improvement.

The EASAV Volunteer directors have lined up excellent topics and speakers for the 2014 year. Be sure to thank them for all of their hard work and dedication to this organization.

2014 Dreamnight at the Zoo

EASAV is partnering with the Children's Stollery to host a Teddy Bear Hospital at the 2014 Dreamnight at the Zoo.

This free annual event provides chronically ill or disabled children and their families with an unforgettable adventure at the zoo.

Volunteers are needed to spearhead and organize the veterinary side of this project and to man the ambulatory veterinary hospital at the zoo on June 6 from 5: 00 pm - 10: 00 pm.  All children will be invited to bring in their injured or worn out teddy bears for triage, diagnostic tests and minor or surgical repairs!

If you interested in volunteering for this rewarding opportunity, contact Smokey, EASAV’s Executive Assistant at easav@edmontonvetinfo.com, call her at (780) 970-3728 or see her during the course of a seminar to sign up!
